How to make a microphone out of paper

If you have free time, interesting ideas and a desire to do something useful for your home, you can search the Internet for blanks. There you can find a lot of creative thoughts, learn new developments and share your experience in this direction.

Today we will talk about one of the many blanks that can be easily done at home with the help of improvised tools and materials. It's about microphones. Usually, their imitation is needed for children's parties or creative evenings for the image of the presenter, while the device should not work. Our goal is to create a similar building.

For the full version that we meet in the hardware store, you need knowledge of electronics and the ability to design electrical appliances. Therefore, we will talk about a simplified way to create crafts from the available materials that are in every home.

IMPORTANT: Of course, a real microphone will not work, but to achieve the desired result is quite realistic. For matinees, this will be enough to make the child feel like a star.

Before you begin to perform work, it is important to determine the basic material and prepare everything you need to create. We suggest you use the list of suitable things:

  1. For the base, you can use a sleeve from paper towels, narrow cans or jars from soda. We will talk about a method of making paper.
  2. For the top, a jar or sleeve of a larger radius is also suitable.
  3. The case can be wrapped with rope or glued with foil.
  4. Additionally, you can attach the wire to the bottom edge.
  5. If you want to decorate the microphone, purchase decoration elements (beads, rhinestones, flowers, stickers ...).
  6. Tools: scissors, ruler, glue, pencil, felt-tip pen.

TIP: This is just an example plan, you can make changes to it according to the personal preferences and desires of the child.

If during the preparation you already had your own idea for creating a simulation of a microphone, you can use it. We will tell you about the cheapest and fastest way to make a workpiece. To do this, follow all the instructions in order.

First, we make the base of the microphone handle:

  1. Take a blank piece of paper and mark on it the future product. The approximate dimensions of the rectangle are 10 × 15 centimeters.
  2. You can take a blank from the Internet and draw a clipping for a microphone. A more convenient option would be to use the sheet curl method.
  3. To do this, you can use a sheet of rectangular or conical shape.
  4. Contour the workpiece.
  5. Gently twist the sheet in a spiral. At the same time, adjust the twisting density so that the microphone is not too narrow, the radius of the apex is about 2 centimeters. The handle should gradually taper down to 1-1.5 centimeters in radius.
  6. To fix the contour, glue the ends of the paper with PVA glue. On top of plain paper, glue or fasten the colored cardboard buttons to your taste.
  7. Wrap everything around the perimeter with a rope and glue it.

Now you need to make the top and imitation of the wire for greater credibility. You need to do this in the following sequence:

  1. Find an iron ring or make it out of cardboard.
  2. Attach a thick rope to it and place everything inward, thread the end of the rope through the bottom edge of the microphone and bring it out.
  3. Then proceed to close the upper part.
  4. Fill the inside with cotton. Cut the top part out of cardboard.
  5. Glue it to the handle and decorate the edges of the gluing.
  6. If desired, you can complement the craft with decorative inserts.

In this direction, everything depends only on your imagination, creativity and capabilities. Do not be afraid to come up with something unusual and interesting, consult with your child and ask what he would like to add with his own hands. The most common options are:

  • Coloring in different colors with watercolors or spray cans.
  • Attaching with glue various sequins, rhinestones, beads or artificial stones.
  • Decoration with crumpled foil in the form of flowers.
  • Adding fur balls.
  • You can use multi-colored threads to wind the microphone handle.
  • Unusually sign the microphone.

IMPORTANT: At the same time, the microphone should retain its appearance and look like a real technique. Decor should not overly cover the base and push it to the background.
