How to check the TV for broken pixels

To check for broken pixels, you can test using several photos of the same tone. To do this, do the following:

1. We find or download the necessary photos.
2. Save them to a USB drive.
3. We connect the USB flash drive through the appropriate port.
4. Image launches. You can see broken pixels on them.

If we need to find white pixels, use a black background, and for black - a white background. For red, blue and green - contrasting backgrounds.

Why they appear

There are a number of reasons why such defects may appear:

1. The matrix is ​​constantly overheating or supercooling. The temperature difference contributes to the solidification of the pixels, and they will not be able to move.
2. High humidity. When water gets on the screen substrate, highlighted dots appear.
3. Constant voltage drops. If you have problems with the mains, a transistor may malfunction. As a result, the current flowing to the pixels forces them to take a fixing position.
4. Manufacturing defects. Most often, they appear not in the process of creating a device, but in the process of testing it for operability (for the three reasons listed above). That is why it is so important to check the TVs before purchase.
5. If the monitor shows the image for a long time (several hours) without changing it. This will lead to burnout of the transistor, and subsequently to freezing points. Even the most modern devices often break for this reason.
6. Damage during delivery. Before using the TV, they bring it home. You need to be careful when transporting, small jolts or pressure can damage several pixels.

Is it possible to recover broken pixels

Some color TVs are made so that you can restore this criterion at home (this applies to the Samsung brand). Two ways:

1. A video is downloaded on the Internet, the purpose of which is to warm the matrix. This video should work for about an hour, and warming up will help restore broken points.
2. We take a cotton swab and press on the damaged area. Do not overdo it, because with strong pressure, there may be more dead pixels.
