How to connect a laptop to the music center

Laptops rarely boast high-quality sound. This is usually due to the fact that the playback device is located inside the computer. In such cases, the music center comes to the rescue. It is capable of reproducing high-quality sounds from most modern devices. But it is necessary to carry out the connection and configuration.

What is required to connect

To connect you will need only 3 things:

  1. A laptop.
  2. Music player that supports AUX (more than 90 percent of devices, even older ones, are capable of supporting it).
  3. Adapter cable with bells (also called tulips).

What difficulties may arise

Usually there are no connection problems. We just need to insert the plugs into the appropriate connectors. If the sound does not play, check that the tulips are properly connected. Red should be in the red port, and white in white. If the wire is too short, and the distance between the devices is large, and the adapter has to be tense, problems with sound quality may occur. You just need to choose a cable of sufficient length (these are sold in computer stores).

If you are sure that everything is connected correctly, perhaps something is broken. The reason may be as follows:

  1. Laptop port does not work. Just connect headphones to it, if they work, then the reason is different.
  2. Broke one of the connectors of the music center. Try connecting another device instead of a laptop.
  3. Cable issues Here one of the channels or the plug may be damaged. But the most common problem is sticky contacts.

Step-by-step connection of the music center

All you need is a laptop, a music player and a cinch adapter cable (cable length depends on the distance between devices). The adapter should have one jack plug on one side and two tulips on the other. Such cables are sold in electronics stores and computer equipment. There is an adapter from 70 to 250 rubles.

Typically, tulip plugs are red and white, and are responsible for the sound channels. The adapter itself is made of two wires, which are glued together, or in the form of a single cable. But in the latter case, the channels are still two, they are just thin, and are located inside the shell.

Important! Each of the wires is responsible for a certain sound channel (right and left). The jack's plug is shaped like a metal pencil. The standard jack is 3.5 mm, but there are 2.5. 3.5 is used for headphones that connect to players or modern smartphones.

Cable length should also be considered so that there is no tension.

The device is connected to the laptop as follows:

  1. We need to insert the jack into the laptop. To do this, use the connector where the headphones are connected (usually next to the headphone symbol).
  2. Tulips must be connected to a music player. There will be connectors that should match our plugs in color (red and white).
  3. Now you need to make the setting. Just turn on AUS, on the player. This will transmit audio signals from the laptop to the music center.
  4. You can listen to music.

Connecting is easy. The most important thing is to follow all the rules and recommendations.
